Vikuiti Total Internal Reflection Prisms
Vikuiti Total Internal Reflection Prisms are vital components in the design of compact light engines that use a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). They are used to separate illumination light from the image reflecting off of the DMD. They reduce light engine assembly and television manufacturing time and allow for compact optical engines for both front and Rear Projection TV (RPTV) applications. They also allow for flexible light engine design and provide high brightness and black level uniformity. Vikuiti Hollow Light Tunnel
The Hollow Light Tunnel uses 3M innovation to homogenize light from a point source typically used in projection systems. The light tunnel works by light entering one end of the tunnel, reflecting multiple times off of internal mirror surfaces, and exiting in a highly uniform state.
